Read Across America Day

We enjoyed participating in our SVPL’s Read Across America Day. We provided two crafts that were related to Little House on the Prairie. Patrons could design their own patchwork quilt and/or make their own necklaces using buttons and beads. In addition to meeting some crafty kids, we enjoyed seeing and hearing members of our Simi Valley government, school district and Little House on the Prairie cast members read aloud stories to the community.

We had fun giving away candy and books while sharing information about Friends and our bookstore at The Simi Valley Street Fair.
