2026 Family Book Festival! We hope you enjoyed our Family Book Festival, where we Celebrated Our Love Of Reading. A huge shout out to our volunteers who organized and worked at it, our community partners who provided crafts and activities, author Drew Daywalt and The Camarillo Bookworm. We’d also like to give a shout out to the volunteers who worked in our bookstore during the event. Without our store and our volunteers, events like our Family Book Festival wouldn’t be possible. Please scroll through our gallery to see highlights of our event.
Read Across America Day
We enjoyed participating in our SVPL’s Read Across America Day. We provided two crafts that were related to Little House on the Prairie. Patrons could design their own patchwork quilt and/or make their own necklaces using buttons and beads. In addition to meeting some crafty kids, we enjoyed seeing and hearing members of our Simi Valley government, school district and Little House on the Prairie cast members read aloud stories to the community.
