Through the support of members and volunteers efforts, the Simi Valley Friends of the Library has donated more than $500,000.00 for programs and materials to the Simi Valley Library over the past 11 years. Here are some of the ways that membership can make a difference.

• We provide support to the Simi Valley Library for Summer Reading programs for children, teens and adults each summer.
• We help the library with beautification projects like the mural in the children’s room or the benches in the rose garden.
• Our Family Book Festival is a fun and informative event for the whole family to enjoy.
• We provide support many Simi Valley Library programs.
• We help Simi Valley Library provide Hoopla Digital so that cardholders can borrow eBooks, audiobooks, comics, movies, music and more 24/7. The Simi Valley Friends of the Library has funded Hoopla since 2017. Our community especially benefited from this program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our library was closed for 14 months, but our local residents still had access to more than 20,000 eBooks, eAudiobooks and movies. These items brought comfort, information, entertainment and helped families with remote learning. Membership does make a difference.
